Damage Restoration Before & After in Long Beach, CA

Photographs tell the truth faster than any promise we could print. A water line that let go inside a wall, a crawlspace full of standing water, a ceiling that caved onto a dining table. The before photos look like a loss. The after photos look like a home again. That change is the actual work we do in Long Beach, from Naples to Bixby Knolls. Here are the transformations, project by project.

Water Damage Restoration: Burst Supply Line in a Belmont Shore Condo

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
Placeholder: Before photo (standing water and soaked drywall) / After photo (dried, rebuilt, repainted wall)

The problem was a plastic supply line that split behind the bathroom vanity while the owner was at work. By the time she got home, water had traveled through the wall cavity into the adjacent bedroom closet. We extracted what we could, cut the affected drywall, and set Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers with psychrometric readings (measuring the moisture in the air) logged every 12 hours until the structure hit target dryness. The result: a rebuilt wall, a repainted closet, and a humidity level you’d expect in a new build. The homeowner kept one thing from the job: a time-stamped drying log that showed exactly when the space became dry, not just dry-feeling.

Mold Remediation: Attic Growth from a Bad Bathroom Vent in Lakewood Village

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
Placeholder: Before photo (dark mold on attic sheathing) / After photo (clean, treated, rebuilt sheathing)

A bathroom exhaust fan had been venting into the attic instead of through the roof. Months of warm, humid air against the underside of the sheathing produced a patch of mold nobody noticed until a home inspection flagged it. We contained the attic, removed the affected sheathing under negative air pressure, and treated the framing with an EPA-registered antimicrobial. Then we corrected the vent so it terminates outside, because mold work without fixing the moisture source is just a countdown to the next problem. The after photo shows clean wood, a proper vent, and no lingering odor in the upstairs hallway.

Storm Damage Restoration: Overflowing Gutter Soaked an Exterior Wall in North Long Beach

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
Placeholder: Before photo (water-stained drywall, wet insulation) / After photo (dried, insulated, new drywall and baseboard)

The gutters hadn’t been cleaned in years. During a heavy January rain, water backed up under the roofline and ran down the inside of an exterior wall. The homeowners saw a wet stain spreading across their living room wall and called us. We opened the wall from the inside, removed the soaked batt insulation, and ran Phoenix air movers and a dehumidifier until the framing read below 16% moisture content. Then we reinsulated, hung new drywall, and primed and painted. The after photo shows a flat, clean wall. We also recommended a gutter guard, not because we sell them, but because a marsh is low ground where water collects. Nobody wants their wall to be the marsh.

Water Damage Restoration: Dishwasher Failure in a Wrigley Kitchen

Dishwashers almost never fail dramatically. They fail slowly, a little leak per cycle, and by the time you see it, the subfloor and the toe-kicks are saturated. This Wrigley kitchen had laminate flooring that buckled in a wave pattern from the dishwasher toward the sink. We pulled the affected flooring, dried the subfloor with an Injectidry system moving air through the cavity, and checked the cabinet bases for swelling. The result: a flat floor, cabinetry saved, and a new dishwasher supply line. We found a family of rubber ducks behind the old dishwasher, which made the day. They made it through the job dry.

Mold Remediation: Under-Sink Growth in an Alamitos Heights Rental

A slow P-trap drip in a rental unit’s bathroom created a damp, dark cabinet. Tenants reported a musty smell, and the property manager called us before it became a bigger problem. We removed the cabinet base, cut out the affected drywall, and cleaned the framing. After containment and drying, we treated the cavity, replaced the drywall, and reinstalled a sealed cabinet floor. The property manager got a written scope before work started and a written guarantee after it finished. The after photo shows a cabinet you wouldn’t think twice about opening.
