When water is rising in your Long Beach home at 2 a.m., the person on the phone and the person at your door matter as much as the equipment in the truck. Our crew is local to this city, from the Naples canals to the Craftsman streets of Rose Park, and we’ve been pulling wet drywall out of Long Beach houses since 2005. Every technician on this page is background-checked, identity-verified, uniformed, and photo-badged before they ever set foot inside your house. The Threshold Standard isn’t a slogan here. It’s how we hire, how we train, and who we send.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Tobias Reyner – Owner & Lead Restoration Specialist
Tobias Reyner founded Marsh Water Damage Long Beach in 2005, and he’s still the one who walks the worst jobs himself. In a city built on low, wet ground, a marsh is water where it shouldn’t be, and Tobias has spent two decades understanding exactly how Long Beach’s coastal humidity and aging pier-and-beam foundations turn a small leak into a structural problem. He holds IICRC credentials in water damage restoration and leads the technical training for every technician on the team. Ask him about the time he found a family of rubber ducks behind a water heater in Belmont Heights, and he’ll tell you the story while checking the moisture meter readings. Then he’ll hand you a written scope of work before anything gets torn out.
Danny M. – Lead Technician
Danny has been with Marsh since 2016, and he’s the technician Tobias sends on the jobs that need the most experience and the calmest head. He is IICRC-certified in water damage restoration and mold remediation, and he runs our Dri-Eaz and Phoenix drying setups on large storm losses from Alamitos Bay to Bixby Knolls. Danny grew up in Signal Hill and knows which Long Beach neighborhoods have cast-iron pipes that fail on schedule and which have slab leaks that hide under original hardwood. Outside of work, he restores a 1967 Mustang in his garage, which has made him very good at explaining why drying a structure too fast cracks old plaster. He sets up psychrometric readings (measuring the moisture in the air) on every job and won’t call a wall dry until the numbers prove it.
Lena R. – Senior Installer & Drying Specialist
Lena handles extraction, structural drying, and the finish work that turns a stripped-down room back into a home. She’s RIA-certified and runs our XPOWER axial fans and Injectidry floor-drying mats on hardwood and tile jobs where getting the water out without ruining the floor is the whole game. Lena started in commercial restoration, which means she brings a level of documentation and process that residential crews often skip. She’s the person who photographs every step of the drying process, timestamps it, and walks you through what she’s seeing. On weekends, Lena paddleboards around Marine Stadium, so she has a defender’s-eye view of which Long Beach homes suffer most when the winter storms push water inland.
Marcus T. – Service Coordinator & First Response
Marcus is the voice on the phone when you call at 6 a.m. with water spreading across your kitchen floor. He’s been answering calls for Marsh since 2019, and he’s trained to talk you through the first ten minutes before a crew arrives: where to shut the water off, what to move, what not to touch. Marcus is a Long Beach native who went to Poly and still lives in the Zaferia district, and he can tell you whether a technician is ten minutes out from your neighborhood or stuck behind the morning traffic on the 405. He handles scheduling, insurance documentation, and keeps every job file organized so adjusters get what they need without delays. Before he was in restoration, Marcus managed a local coffee shop, which is why he’s weirdly good at calming down people who have just discovered a ceiling leak above their bed.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this team operates under the Threshold Standard, the five-step protocol that applies to every visit regardless of whether it’s a small bathroom leak in Los Altos or a whole-house sewage loss in North Long Beach. Step one: identity verification before arrival, with the technician’s name and photo sent to the customer in advance. Step two: a photo ID badge shown at the door. Step three: a written scope and price before any work begins. Step four: photo documentation of every step, from initial extraction to final moisture readings. Step five: the 365-Day Done Right Promise printed on the work order, guaranteeing that if the repair fails within a full year, we make it right with a free second visit. Tobias Reyner set this standard in 2005 as part of the Threshold Group family, and he holds every technician to it. Not sometimes. Not when it’s convenient. Every visit, every job, every time.
